COPPA Compliant & Child-Safe
At Kids Video Browser, we are committed to protecting the privacy of children and parents who use our application. This Privacy Policy details our practices regarding information collection, usage, and safety measures implemented in our application (referred to as the "App").
1. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
The App is fully designed to comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect, request, store, or share any personal information from children under the age of 13. Parents can rest assured that their child's digital footprint remains private and secure.
2. Information Collection and Usage
- No Personal Information Collected: We do not collect personal identification details such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, precise physical locations, or device contacts.
- Local Application Settings: Parents can configure custom timers, weekly screen time schedules, and search settings. All configurations are stored locally on the user's physical device. This data is never uploaded, shared, or transmitted to any external server.
- Browsing Data (WebView): The App utilizes the standard system Android WebView to load YouTube Kids. Web cookies and cache are stored strictly on the physical device to facilitate video playback. Parents can clear this data at any time via the parent settings panel. We do not track, capture, or store browsing history.
3. Third-Party Services and Advertisements
To support development, the App displays mobile advertisements. We take extensive measures to ensure these are entirely safe for children:
- Google AdMob: We configure AdMob strictly for child-directed treatment (COPPA settings enabled). Advertisements are limited to a general audience rating ("G-Rating") to filter out age-inappropriate content. Additionally, behavioral targeting and personalized tracking are disabled.
- YouTube Kids: The App loads the web version of YouTube Kids. Google’s own privacy policies and guidelines govern video delivery, recommendation algorithms, and account log-in services (if used). We advise parents to review YouTube Kids' privacy policy for more details.
4. Parental Control Security
To prevent unauthorized access, changes to app limits, and extensions of screen time, the App implements a Parental Gate challenge. Only users who successfully pass this verification challenge can access settings or change limits.
5. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
